Sump Pumps

The right equipment can control moisture accumulation effectively. Sump pumps, sump basins, gas-tight sump basin lids, and backup batteries are common components in basement water removal configurations. We use quality products, exclusively installing Blue Angel Sump Pumps that are tested to over one million cycles and have a 3-year manufacturer warranty.We offer tailored configurations for sump pump drainage PVC to accommodate existing landscaping and preserve esthetic appeal. Configurations include above ground options such as splash guards near existing downspout extensions and underground options to ensure water is diverted away from foundation. Installation of freeze relief valves on building exterior to prevent sump pump failure provides peace of mind during harsh Maine winters.

Dehumidifiers

Elevated humidity levels can be mitigated with commercial-grade dehumidifiers that are designed specifically for basement and crawlspace application. Preventing basement moisture damage may be achieved by installing a dehumidifier adequately sized for the space. We have several options available to manage any size area.

We install Santa Fe dehumidifiers that come with an unmatched 6-year manufacturer warranty. These units are top of the line and can be installed on hanging kits or on blocks to satisfy the needs of any space. External condensate pumps are included to permanently drain the unit eliminating the need to manually empty the dehumidifier reservoir. The included MERV 13 filters help reduce particulates in the air that would not be collected by standard dehumidifiers.

Preventing basement moisture damage may be achieved by installing a dehumidifier adequately sized for the cubic air volume. We have several options available to manage cubic air volume in any size area.

This was proven when I received their 50 item scope letter detailing exactly what they will do. They were not the lowest price however they provided what my basement needed for a complete job. Professional, knowledgable, hard-working, friendly and efficient are just a handful of words to describe Eastern Basements and their amazing team! I purchased a 200 year old inn in 2014 that needed almost everything and went about replacing roofs, septic systems, plumbing, electric and so much more to still have a musty, damp space leaving me frustrated and the building at risk of additional problems in the future. I have an old house (1900s) with a cobbled-stone foundation that had a wet musty basement with areas of open soil. Eastern Basements fixed it all for me.
